Italy's Le Marche Region, the jewel of Italy's Adriatic coastline, is described as "the new Tuscany" by the New York Times. A new 10-day insider tour, October 18-29, lets travelers drench themselves in the sights, sounds, tastes and history of Le Marche, and elegant shopping at considerable savings.
The tour includes first-class hotel accommodation, 10 breakfasts, seven dinners, motor coach travel throughout the region, day trips and excursions, plus two nights in Florence and four nights in Rome. A special treat for music-lovers is an open rehearsal and two different concerts in gorgeous theatres by Italy's flagship musical ensemble, l'Orchestra Internazionale d'Italia, conducted by Canada's Kerry Stratton.

Orchestra Internazionale D'Italia
The Orchestra Internazionale D'Italia with guitar soloist Claudio Marcotulli will be touring Canada in November 2008; their Toronto performance will be Nov 3. Other Canadian performances: Lindsay (Nov 1), Port Hope (Nov 2), Welland (Nov 4), Orillia (Nov 5), Markham (Nov 6), Milton (Nov 7), Barrie (Nov 8), Richmond Hill (Nov 9) and Montreal (Nov 10).
A Little Night Music
April - June, 2008: This series of lectures is designed for the music lover to increase concert enjoyment through a combination of guided listening and live performance. Participants meet and interact with dozens of musicians in small ensembles. Live music sets this 'appreciation' course well above the average. (Click here to register.)

Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra
The Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra is touring Canada in October 2007; their Toronto performance will be Oct. 15 at Metropolitan United Church. Tickets can be ordered online or by phone. Other Canadian performances: Millbrook (Oct. 9); Orillia (Oct. 10); Kingston (Oct. 11), Milton (Oct. 12), Barrie (Oct. 13), and Bellville (Oct. 14). The violin soloist at each performance will be Park Ji Yoon.
